EUlabel's furniture profile is built from the *Preparatory study on ecodesign requirements for furniture, Phase I: DPP content*, which is explicitly a draft. The profile is versioned and will follow the adopted act. Furniture passports describe a piece of furniture as a hierarchy of components with their materials, mass and joining methods, the substances of concern it contains, how durable and repairable it is, which spare parts exist and for how long, and, per item, the condition, repairs and component replacements it has gone through. That last part is what makes furniture a natural fit for serial-level passports: leasing, refurbishment and resale all need the history of the individual piece.
