> **Warning**
> **Provisional profile `textile/2026.10-provisional`.** The ESPR delegated act for textiles is still to be adopted (the Commission's textile DPP page plans adoption in 2027, followed by a transition period of at least 18 months). EUlabel's textile profile is built from the Commission's preparatory study (JRC, 2026) and existing obligations such as the Textile Labelling Regulation (EU) 1007/2011 and REACH. It is versioned: when the delegated act is adopted, a new profile version follows and your existing passports keep their recorded version.

Textile apparel passports describe a garment model: what it is made of, how durable it is, which substances of concern it contains, how it can be recycled, and how to care for and repair it. Most data points are public; a handful are reserved for professionals or authorities.

Create the passport [#create-the-passport]
```bash
curl -X POST https://api.eulabel.eu/v1/passports \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "gtin": "05601234390001",
    "name": "Organic oxford shirt",
    "brand": "Atelier Norte",
    "data": {
      "productType": "textile",
      "identification": { "category": "shirt", "modelIdentifier": "AN-SS26-OXFORD", "weightG": 310 },
      "operators": [{ "role": "manufacturer", "name": "Atelier Norte Têxteis, Lda.", "country": "PT" }],
      "composition": {
        "fibres": [{ "fibreCode": "organic_cotton", "percentage": 100 }],
        "basis": "clean_dry_mass"
      },
      "care": { "warrantyMonths": 36 }
    }
  }'
```
Fibre percentages must add up to 100 and use the Textile Labelling Regulation fibre names; the response reports a `percentage_sum_mismatch` issue otherwise. Test results (dimensional change, seam strength, colour fastness) carry their method, laboratory and verification status so that two passports can be compared only when their methods match.

What changes when the delegated act is adopted [#what-changes-when-the-delegated-act-is-adopted]

* Field names and vocabularies are kept stable where the study and the act agree; the profile version changes (for example `textile/2027.x`) when they diverge.
* Passports record the profile version they were validated against, so a passport published under the provisional profile is never silently re-validated.
* The [Profiles API](https://eulabel.eu/docs/api-reference/endpoints/profiles) always returns the current catalogue; subscribe to the [changelog](https://eulabel.eu/docs/documentation/changelog) for profile updates.
