The rule
What the regulation asks of a wine label.
Wine produced from 8 December 2023 must declare its ingredients and nutrition. The ingredient list and full nutrition declaration can move behind a QR code, if that page collects no user data and shows no sales or marketing content.
- On the bottle
- The energy value and allergens stay on the physical label, with the other compulsory particulars.
- No tracking
- The rule: no user data collected or tracked. Our label page sets no cookies, loads no third-party scripts and records no scans.
- No marketing
- The ingredients and nutrition never appear next to sales or promotional content.

Quinta Demo Rosé 2022 shows the page a consumer reaches: ingredients and allergens first.

How it works
Three steps to a label you can print.
- 1
Add the wine
Enter the GTIN you hold. Region and designation come from a reference list in the dashboard.
- 2
Check the label
Ingredients, allergens and nutrition are validated against the profile before you can publish.
- 3
Print the code
Download the QR code for your label artwork. Page labels switch between six languages; ingredient text stays as you entered it.

}Questions, answered plainly
Is a wine e-label a Digital Product Passport?
No. Wine labeling falls under Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013, as amended by Regulation (EU) 2021/2117, not the ESPR. E-labels share infrastructure with passports on EUlabel, but they are optional: the obligation is to declare ingredients and nutrition.
Which wines does this apply to?
Wine produced from 8 December 2023. Wine produced and labeled earlier under the old rules can be sold until stocks run out. If you ship to several member states, the compulsory information must be in the languages those countries require.
Can I see how many people scanned my label?
No. We record no scans or views for wine e-labels, per person or in aggregate. The label page sets no cookies.
What if I change the blend or fix a mistake?
Publish a new version. The QR code on the printed label stays the same. Earlier versions stay in storage, but you can't view them in the dashboard or API yet.
Can I move from another e-label provider?
Yes. We publish migration guides for U-Label, Glasswise, Bottlebooks, e-label.eu and CSV exports.
Wine labeling is set by Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013, amended by Regulations (EU) 2021/2117 and 2026/471. Check the current text for your wine. Wine e-labels are separate from ESPR Digital Product Passports. EUlabel provides software that supports passport and e-label workflows. Producers remain responsible for data accuracy and compliance with applicable legislation. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
