Standards
Built on open standards, and clear about the rest.
The European Commission's DPP Registry became operational in July 2026, alongside an implementing decision covering six DPP standards. Further work continues. EUlabel builds on open identifiers and adds support as specifications mature.
Implemented
GS1 Digital Link
Connects product identifiers to web-accessible information through standard URIs and a resolver. We support AI 01 with batch and serial.
Versioned profiles
Product-specific rules
What a passport must contain, who can read it and how it is registered depend on the applicable product legislation.
Planned
EU DPP Registry
Stores product identifiers and registration metadata. Complete passport information stays with the economic operator or a DPP service provider.
Planned
Verifiable credentials
Cryptographic proof of who issued a claim. On the roadmap as the requirements settle.
Where we stand
What each layer of a passport needs.
Identification
GTIN, batch and serial, through GS1 Application Identifiers.
Web connectivity
GS1 Digital Link URIs for AI 01 with batch and serial, resolved by our own resolver, built with reference to the GS1-Conformant Resolver Standard.
Data model
Versioned profiles per sector, each field linked to its source.
Access
Public, legitimate-interest and authority classes per field.
EUlabel is a separate infrastructure service, not the EU DPP Registry. Support for Registry integration will be described according to what is actually implemented.
